Community Membership is open to anyone living with a long term condition, disability, sensory loss and/or their carers who are living in Hartlepool.
Membership is open to any statutory colleagues, private or voluntary group in Hartlepool who are passionate about removing barriers to inclusion.
The group is led by a Steering group made up of Community and Organisational members. If you would like to join as a ‘Steering Group Member’ then please get in touch.
Participation and Consultation
Participation refers to people’s involvement in decision-making, whatever form this may take.
The concept of participation emphasises that including our community should not only be a momentary act but the starting point for meaningful change.
The views expressed by our community should be considered in decision-making and in developing policies and services as well as their evaluation.
Effective consultation is a participatory process that underpins genuine community development. It enables communities to articulate their own concerns, and identify the appropriate responses and solutions to problems that affect them.
Participation and Consultation are at the heart of what CLIP do. We will work with our members to ensure everyone has a voice.
CLIP will be led by our community members to bring about sustainable change in Hartlepool.
All participation and consultation events will be kept up to date on our social media pages
Co-production
Co-production refers to a way of working where decision-makers and people with lived experience, work together to make a decision or develop a service which works for everyone.
Together with our Community Members and Organisational Members we will be the collective voice to bring about effective change.
Our vision is to create a fully accessible Hartlepool, for this to become a reality co-production must be at the heart of what we all do as individuals and organisation.
Peer Support
CLIP offers opportunities for all members, of all ages to learn from one another, and to work together to tackle issues, this is called peer support.
Covid-19 has brought many challenges and we are working to offer both ‘face to face’ and ‘virtual sessions’ to promote peer support.
All activities and events will be kept up to date on our social media pages.
